Ahead of its wide release tomorrow, February 20, the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) has reportedly ordered several significant changes to Anurag Kashyap’s neo-noir drama, Kennedy. The film has been a topic of discussion since its premiere at the 2023 Cannes Film Festival.

Notable edits include replacing the name "Donald Trump" with "Pump Trump" and "Dawood Ibrahim" with "Pakistan Don," as reported by the Times of India. These changes were mandated to secure a theatrical release in India.

Despite these alterations, the film will finally hit Indian theaters with an 'A' certificate. Kashyap’s gritty portrayal of an insomniac ex-cop remains largely intact, though the specific political and underworld references have been softened.
