Auditor-General Datuk Seri Wan Suraya Wan Mohd Radzi tabled the first Auditor-General’s Report (LKAN) of 2026 in the Dewan Rakyat today. The report identified 273 new issues concerning financial management and governance across both federal and state levels. Among the most serious findings were irregularities in revenue collection and expenditure at Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia (UKM), which flagged roughly RM32.36 million in unrecorded revenue.
The audit also revealed that MIMOS Bhd spent approximately RM28.13 million between late 2023 and early 2025 without the necessary approvals from project committees. In total, the Auditor-General raised concerns over the 2024 financial statements of 15 federal agencies. These findings have prompted calls for stricter oversight and immediate corrective actions to address governance gaps within these statutory bodies.
