The 79th BAFTA Film Awards, held at London's Royal Albert Hall on Sunday evening, concluded with Paul Thomas Anderson’s One Battle After Another emerging as the night's biggest winner. The action thriller secured six awards, including the prestigious Best Film and Best Director. Sean Penn won Best Supporting Actor for his role in the film, while the production also picked up several technical honours.

In a historic moment for Indian cinema, the Manipuri-language film Boong, directed by Lakshmipriya Devi and co-produced by Farhan Akhtar, won the award for Best Children's & Family Film. It triumphed over major international competitors like Zootropolis 2 and Lilo & Stitch, marking the first time an Indian film has won in this specific category.

Other notable winners included Zootopia 2, which clinched the title of Best Animated Film. The ceremony was hosted by Alan Cumming and featured high-profile presenters, including Indian actress Alia Bhatt, who presented the award for Best Non-English Language Film.
