A 50-year-old local man was arrested in Kluang after a video of him walking naked in public went viral on social media. The incident occurred at approximately 7 p.m. on Tuesday, March 3, 2026, along Jalan Mengkibol. In the footage, the man appeared to be walking or running naked on the main road, sparking significant concern among local residents regarding public decency and safety.

Acting on information received, a team from the Kluang Police Station conducted an arrest during Op Cantas at 4 p.m. on Wednesday, March 4, in Taman Sunrise Park. Initial police checks revealed that the suspect has one prior criminal record. A subsequent urine screening test returned negative results for illicit substances, indicating the individual was not under the influence of drugs at the time of the incident.

The case is currently being investigated under Section 377D of the Penal Code, which pertains to public indecency. Kluang District Police Chief Assistant Commissioner Bahrin Mohd Noh confirmed that a remand order was sought at the Kluang Magistrate's Court on Thursday, March 5, to facilitate further investigations. Authorities have also urged the public to refrain from spreading unverified news to avoid legal action.
