The San Jose Sharks pulled off one of the biggest upsets of the NHL season on Thursday night by defeating the Boston Bruins on their home ice. This victory effectively ended Boston's impressive 13-game home winning streak, which had been the longest in the league this year. The Sharks utilized a disciplined defensive strategy and timely scoring to stifle the Bruins' high-powered offense, providing a massive boost to San Jose's morale as they navigate a challenging season.

In other NHL action, the Philadelphia Flyers secured a gritty victory over the Minnesota Wild in a game that went all the way to a shootout. Travis Konecny provided the heroics, scoring the lone goal in the shootout to lift the Flyers past the Wild. Meanwhile, the St. Louis Blues managed to defeat the Eastern Conference-leading Hurricanes, thanks to a two-goal performance from Jimmy Snuggerud and a 31-save effort from goaltender Jordan Binnington.

The Dallas Stars also made a statement in the Western Conference playoff race by beating the Edmonton Oilers. Stars veterans Jason Robertson and Jamie Benn both recorded two-goal games, showcasing the team's offensive depth against an Oilers squad led by Connor McDavid. These results have caused significant shifts in the league standings as teams enter the final stretch of the regular season, making every point critical for postseason qualification.
