TM (Telekom Malaysia) and PSM (Perbadanan Stadium Malaysia)
In a historic move for Malaysian sports infrastructure, the Perbadanan Stadium Malaysia (PSM) has officially entered into a three-year strategic naming rights agreement with Telekom Malaysia (TM). Effective immediately as of March 13, 2026, the country's iconic Stadium Nasional Bukit Jalil has been rebranded as TM Stadium Nasional. This collaboration marks the first time the national stadium, the largest in Southeast Asia, has taken on a commercial title sponsor to support its long-term maintenance and world-class development.
As part of the same comprehensive partnership, the neighboring multipurpose indoor arena, formerly known as Stadium Putra (and previously Axiata Arena), has been renamed the Unifi Arena. This 16,000-capacity venue will now carry the branding of TM's premier convergence service, Unifi. The deal is aimed at ensuring these vital national assets remain technologically competitive and commercially sustainable as they continue to host major international football matches, global concerts, and large-scale national events.
According to PSM Chairman Iliyas Jamil, the initiative is a key part of the corporation's strategy to generate non-government revenue to meet the high costs of stadium upkeep while keeping facilities relevant for modern fans. Telekom Malaysia Group CEO Amar Huzaimi Md Deris expressed pride in the partnership, noting that TM has been "connecting Malaysians across generations" and is honored to be part of the future of these historic landmarks. This rebranding follows the successful model of similar partnerships globally, such as the Emirates and Etihad stadiums in the United Kingdom.
