The third week of March 2026 is shaping up to be one of the busiest for cinemas in Malaysia, led by the massive release of the spy-action thriller Dhurandhar: The Revenge on 19 March. Directed by Aditya Dhar and starring Ranveer Singh in a darker, dual-avatar role, the film is part of an expanding Hindi spy universe and features a record-breaking runtime of nearly four hours. The digital trailer drop earlier this week has already broken viewership records, positioning it as the primary Bollywood event of the season.

Clashing with the action epic is the global release of the animated sports comedy Goat on 19 March. Produced by Stephen Curry and featuring an A-list voice cast including Caleb McLaughlin and Gabrielle Union, the film follows the journey of an underdog athlete named Archie. In Malaysia, the Malay-dubbed version features actor Zul Ariffin as the voice of Archie, adding local star power to the international project.

Other notable releases arriving in Malaysian cinemas this week include the Tamil action film Vadam on 13 March and the highly anticipated horror sequel Scream 7. For fans of Southeast Asian cinema, the Indonesian horror finale Danur: The Last Chapter and the Malaysian supernatural thriller Kong Tao are also set to debut. These varied releases offer a diverse range of genres for local audiences, from family-friendly animation to high-octane international action.
