Iran launched a massive retaliatory missile barrage toward Israel today, with sirens sounding across Tel Aviv and southern Israel. The attack follows the killing of two top Iranian security officials, including Ali Larijani, in recent Israeli airstrikes. Israeli emergency services reported that at least two people were killed by a cluster missile strike in the Ramat Gan area near Tel Aviv.

The conflict has rapidly spread beyond Israel's borders, with an Iranian projectile reportedly striking near an Australian military headquarters in the United Arab Emirates earlier today. In response to the escalating threats, the U.S. has ordered all regional embassies to immediately activate emergency security plans. Global oil prices have spiked past $100 per barrel as the U.S. continues military strikes on Iranian missile sites near the critical Strait of Hormuz.

Political instability is also rising within the U.S. government due to the conflict, as Joe Kent, the Trump administration's counterterrorism chief, resigned today in protest of the war. International leaders, including the EU and UK, are calling for "maximum restraint," while countries like Sri Lanka have implemented a four-day work week to conserve fuel amid the growing global energy crisis.
