Malaysia's top mixed doubles pair, Chen Tang Jie and Toh Ee Wei, are set to face South Korea's Kim Jae-hyeon and Jang Ha-jeong today in the quarter finals of the Badminton Asia Championships. The world number four duo advanced after a dominant 37 minute victory over India's Dhruv Kapila and Tanisha Crasto. Joining them in the last eight are the men's doubles defending champions Aaron Chia and Soh Wooi Yik, who staged a thrilling comeback to defeat a Chinese pair in the second round. 

The women’s doubles pair Pearly Tan and M. Thinaah also advanced to the quarter-finals after a hard fought second round win. They are scheduled to play against the Chinese duo Li Yijing and Luo Xumin today. However, it was not a clean sweep for Malaysia, as other mixed doubles pairs, including Goh Soon Huat Shevon Lai and Wong Tien Ci Lim Chiew Sien, were eliminated in the earlier rounds. 

These quarter final matches are critical for world ranking points as the season progresses. Fans are particularly focused on Aaron Chia and Soh Wooi Yik, who are looking to defend their continental title after clearing several hurdles in the opening days. The mixed doubles pair of Tang Jie and Ee Wei are also being viewed as strong title contenders given their recent form.
