The Ministry of Works and Lingkaran Trans Kota Sdn Bhd (LITRAK) have officially finalized the construction of a new RM80 million U-turn ramp at the Serdang Interchange on the Damansara-Puchong Expressway (LDP). This project is specifically designed to tackle the chronic traffic congestion that has plagued commuters traveling between Seri Kembangan, Puchong, and Putrajaya for years.
The new ramp will allow motorists from Seri Kembangan to head back towards Putrajaya and Cyberjaya without having to navigate the heavily congested existing traffic light intersections. By streamlining the flow of vehicles at this critical junction, the project aims to reduce peak-hour travel times by up to 20 minutes for thousands of daily users.
Construction is expected to commence in the third quarter of this year, with a completion timeline set for early 2028. During the construction phase, authorities plan to implement a comprehensive traffic management scheme to minimize disruption. Once completed, the ramp will serve as a vital piece of infrastructure for the growing residential and commercial hubs in the southern Klang Valley.
