The NBA post season officially began on Tuesday night with a frantic Play In Tournament matchup that saw the Charlotte Hornets eliminate the Miami Heat with a 127-126 overtime victory. Charlotte's Coby White forced the extra session with a dramatic 3 pointer in the final 15 seconds of regulation. LaMelo Ball led all scorers with 30 points, including a crucial layup in the final seconds of overtime to seal the win.

The Heat's campaign was hampered by a significant injury to star big man Bam Adebayo, who exited in the second quarter with a lower back injury and did not return. Despite valiant efforts from Davion Mitchell and Andrew Wiggins, who scored 28 and 27 points respectively, the Heat were unable to overcome Charlotte's offensive barrage. The Hornets now move on to face the loser of Wednesday's matchup between the Orlando Magic and Philadelphia 76ers for the final playoff seed.

In the Western Conference, action continued with the Phoenix Suns hosting the Portland Trail Blazers in a 7-8 seed battle. The winner of this contest earns the No. 7 seed and a first round playoff series against the No. 2 seeded San Antonio Spurs. The tournament remains high pressure, with more games scheduled for tonight featuring the Warriors, Clippers, Magic, and 76ers.
