*Mbappe Rejects Mediation Offer as PSG Faces RM266M Claim for Unpaid Wages and Bonuses*

*PARIS, Sept 12* — Kylian Mbappe’s representatives announced yesterday that they had declined the French Football League’s (LFP) proposal to mediate between the France captain and Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) over a dispute involving unpaid wages and bonuses.

Mbappe claims PSG owes him 55 million euros (RM266 million), which PSG contends he agreed to forfeit in August 2023. This amount includes a signing bonus expected in February, the final three months of his salary, and an “ethical bonus” for that period.

Following Mbappe's referral of the case to the LFP’s legal committee, the league offered to mediate. However, Mbappe’s entourage rejected the mediation offer, stating that it would be ineffective in resolving the matter, which they believe is evident from a straightforward review of the player’s payslips.

The LFP announced it will communicate its decision regarding the case to both Mbappe and PSG on Friday.

Earlier, PSG had expressed support for the mediation proposal. The club noted its satisfaction with the hearing before the commission, emphasizing that Mbappe had made numerous public and private commitments that should be honored. PSG highlighted that the mediation request aligns with the club's ongoing efforts to resolve the issue amicably.
