PUTRAJAYA: Effective October 1, the Ministry of Education (MoE) will take charge of the education for over 300 children rescued through Op Global, announced Education Minister Fadhlina Sidek. A special curriculum will be tailored for these children, many of whom have not had formal schooling.

Education will be conducted at their current shelters, where they are cared for. Their skills in reading, writing, and counting, as well as their psychosocial well-being, are currently being evaluated. Once assessments are complete, the MoE will manage their educational needs, which will be structured into preschool, primary, and secondary levels, Fadhlina explained during the ministry’s monthly assembly.
