IPOH, Sept 25 — A man, Muhammad Khairul Ridzuan Muhamad Taib, 46, was found burnt to death in a pre-dawn fire that destroyed 60 percent of a house in Taman Muhibbah 2, near Sitiawan.
Perak Fire and Rescue Department assistant director Sabarodzi Nor Ahmad said the fire broke out early this morning, and the charred remains of the victim were discovered in the living room.
The department received the emergency call at 2.40 am, and firefighters from Sitiawan and Seri Manjung stations responded. Seven other occupants managed to escape uninjured. The fire was fully extinguished by 5.16 am.
