ALOR SETAR, Sept 28 —A new flood relief center has opened in the Kubang Pasu district of Kedah, bringing the total number of flood victims to 243 from 59 families, up from 207 last night. The center, located at Sekolah Menengah Kebangsaan (SMK) Changlun, will accommodate 36 victims from 10 families. In Pendang, the victim count remains at 207, sheltered across two centers: Dewan Kompleks Rakan Sukan Tanah Merah and SMK Pendang. According to the Drainage and Irrigation Department, water levels in several rivers, including Sungai Laka and Sungai Sari, exceeded danger levels this morning, while others surpassed alert levels
