PM Anwar Invites China’s Jiangsu Longda to Expand Superalloy Business in Malaysia
SHANGHAI, Nov 6 — During his official visit to China, Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim invited Jiangsu Longda Superalloy Co Ltd, a leading superalloy producer based in Wuxi, Jiangsu Province, to expand its operations in Malaysia. Superalloys are crucial for high-demand sectors such as aerospace, gas turbines, and petrochemicals.
Anwar extended the invitation following a meeting with the company’s founder, Pu Yi Long, alongside Investment, Trade, and Industry Minister Tengku Zafrul Abdul Aziz.
“I am impressed by Jiangsu Longda’s high-temperature alloys for major aerospace players,” Anwar remarked, emphasizing that the company’s expansion into Malaysia would enhance the country’s position in the global aerospace market, strengthen local supply chains, and create skilled jobs.
Anwar's visit to China from Nov 4 to 7 was made at the invitation of Chinese Premier Li Qiang to attend the 7th China International Import Expo (CIIE). His delegation also includes Foreign Minister Datuk Seri Mohamad Hasan and Human Resources Minister Steven Sim Chee Keong.
