Elderly Woman Killed, Son Injured in Tampin Car Crash*
TAMPIN, Nov 11 — A 67-year-old woman died when the car she was in plunged into a 50-metre ravine on Jalan Tampin-Gemas, near Kampung Tengah, Gemencheh, yesterday afternoon. The driver, her 34-year-old son, lost control of the Honda City while traveling from Melaka to Palong 1, causing the vehicle to crash at around 2 pm.
The woman was confirmed dead at the scene, while the son suffered a broken back, and the front passenger sustained minor injuries. Both were treated at Tampin Hospital.
The incident is being investigated under Section 41(1) of the Road Transport Act 1987.
