E-Hailing Driver Narrowly Escapes as Car Plunges into Lake Near The Mines*

SERDANG, Nov 17 — An e-hailing driver had a narrow escape yesterday when her car skidded off the road and plunged into a lake near The Mines Shopping Mall in Seri Kembangan. The incident occurred around 3:30 pm near The Heritage Residence, during heavy rain.

The 49-year-old woman, driving a Toyota Vios, was on her way to pick up a passenger when she failed to notice pooled water on the wet road, causing the car to skid into the lake. She managed to escape through the driver’s side window before the car sank and was later rescued by a boat.

A video of the dramatic incident, posted by TikTok user kakdiamond78, went viral, amassing over one million views.
