Puncak Alam's Growth Sparks Plans for New Police and Fire Stations
KUALA LUMPUR, Dec 16 — Authorities are considering the establishment of dedicated police and fire stations in Puncak Alam, driven by the area's rapid development. Inspector-General of Police Tan Sri Razarudin Husain announced that a study will be conducted by Selangor police to assess the need for a new station to better serve the growing population.
The expansion of residential, commercial, and industrial areas, along with rising traffic, has highlighted the need for enhanced infrastructure. Currently, the nearest police station is in Saujana Utama.
Meanwhile, Fire and Rescue Department Director-General Datuk Nor Hisham Mohammad confirmed that a new fire station for Puncak Alam is under review, with nearby stations in Sungai Buloh, Bestari Jaya, and Bukit Jelutong already serving the area. The Saujana Utama Volunteer Fire Brigade has been upgraded to handle increased incidents.
