TORONTO – A Delta Air Lines flight with 80 people onboard crash-landed at Toronto Pearson International Airport on Monday, flipping upside down. The incident left at least 17 people injured, including three critically—a child, a man in his 60s, and a woman in her 40s—though no fatalities were reported.
The Endeavor Air flight 4819, which had flown from Minneapolis, was landing in Toronto when the crash occurred. Passengers, including those with minor injuries, were taken to local hospitals. Dramatic images showed passengers fleeing the upside-down plane amid strong winds and snow.
Airport operations were temporarily suspended, resuming after a two-hour delay. Delta confirmed the incident but reported no fatalities, with CEO Ed Bastian expressing his support for those affected.
Canadian and US authorities have deployed investigators to determine the cause of the crash, which follows a series of recent air accidents in North America.
