Tenaga Nasional Bhd (TNB) must pay RM1.3 million in late payment interest to Lambang Kelana Sdn Bhd for delaying compensation over land used in a transmission project. The Court of Appeal ruled TNB entered the land in 2007 without following proper procedures or paying timely compensation, which was only made in 2020. The court found the delay unjust and said depriving the landowner of interest violated constitutional rights.
