The High Court dismissed Menara Kuala Lumpur Sdn Bhd and parent company Hydroshoppe’s application to begin contempt proceedings against the government and seven individuals, including Communications Minister Fahmi Fadzil. The judge found no prima facie case and ordered the companies to pay RM25,000 in costs.

The court also rejected their injunction bid and imposed an additional RM20,000 in costs to the government and involved companies. The legal dispute centers on claims of contract breach and a contested RM1 billion KL Tower concession transfer, with a striking-out hearing set for July 14.
