TEHRAN — Iran’s top security body warned it could strike Israeli nuclear sites using newly obtained intelligence if Israel attacks Iranian nuclear facilities.
Iran claims to possess sensitive Israeli documents from a covert operation, including details on nuclear and defense infrastructure. The intelligence, officials say, would allow for precise retaliation in response to any Israeli strike on Iran’s military or economy.
The head of Iran’s Revolutionary Guard said this intel would sharpen Iran’s missile accuracy. Iran also hinted at publishing some of the information, which reportedly involves Western nations, including the U.S.
Tensions between Iran and Israel, long engaged in covert conflict, have escalated amid ongoing nuclear talks between Iran and the U.S. Meanwhile, the UN nuclear watchdog said it has received no formal information about the alleged intelligence.
