Despite a 15th-place finish in the Premier League and their worst-ever performance in the competition last season, Manchester United midfielder Manuel Ugarte stated that the players still have faith in manager Ruben Amorim.
Amorim, who took charge in November last year, managed only seven wins in 27 league matches. The team also failed to qualify for the Champions League after losing the Europa League final 1-0 to Tottenham Hotspur.
Ugarte, who previously played under Amorim at Sporting, acknowledged the need for improvement but emphasized, "We are all very motivated, because we believe in the coach, we believe in what he wants and that is very important." He noted that last year involved changes in coach and formation, and that building connections takes time.
Manchester United is currently on a pre-season tour in the U.S., facing Bournemouth and Everton, before a home match against Fiorentina on August 9. Their new Premier League season begins on August 17 against Arsenal.
