Prasarana Malaysia and the Ministry of Transport have confirmed that the MRT3 Circle Line project has officially reached the 60% completion milestone, trending significantly ahead of its original 2026 schedule. This 51km rail line is the "final piece" of the Klang Valley integrated transit system, designed to encircle the city and provide crucial interchanges between the existing MRT and LRT lines.

The rapid progress is attributed to the use of advanced autonomous tunneling machines and 24/7 construction shifts. The completion of the underground sections has paved the way for station construction to begin at 31 different locations simultaneously. The MRT3 is expected to revolutionize urban mobility by allowing passengers to travel between suburbs without having to pass through the heavily congested city center.

Property experts have already noted a "rail effect" on real estate prices, with areas near upcoming MRT3 stations seeing a significant increase in value. The government is also planning "Transit-Oriented Developments" around these stations, which will include affordable housing and retail spaces. Once fully operational in early 2028, the MRT3 will be the backbone of a world-class public transport network in Malaysia.
