A police officer in Bagan Datuk has been arrested for allegedly extorting RM2,000 from a member of the public to settle an old case. The 40-year-old officer reportedly offered to resolve a previous urine test case for the 37-year-old complainant, a laborer, during a meeting at a house in Langkap, Teluk Intan, on September 26. After filing a report regarding the officer's misconduct, the arrest occurred around 7 PM the following day near Hutan Melintang. Perak police chief Datuk Azizi Mat Aris confirmed an ongoing investigation under Section 384 of the Penal Code.
