KOTA BARU — The Road Transport Department (JPJ) has issued a final warning to express bus and goods vehicle operators to clear all outstanding summonses by midnight on July 8 or face being blacklisted and barred from operating.
JPJ director-general Datuk Aedy Fadly Ramli said enforcement will begin immediately after the deadline, with officers ready to take action on the roads.
The 14-day notice follows a directive by Transport Minister Anthony Loke last week. Aedy noted a rise in payments since the announcement and urged companies with discrepancies in their records to visit the nearest JPJ office for verification.
The crackdown is part of the ministry’s push to curb serious traffic violations following a spate of fatal road accidents.
