SHAH ALAM — A 54-year-old woman was arrested in Taman Bendahara, Kuala Selangor for allegedly abusing and neglecting her adopted daughter.
Kuala Selangor police chief Supt. Azaharudin Tajudin said the arrest was made at 8.15pm yesterday following a police report. The victim is currently being treated at Tanjong Karang Hospital.
The woman has been remanded for six days until July 4 to assist in the investigation under Section 3(1) of the Child Act 2001.
