KUALA LUMPUR — A 23-year-old woman who claimed she was robbed of RM21,000 belonging to her employer is now in trouble after police found the report was false.
Iskandar Puteri police chief ACP M. Kumarasan said investigations revealed the woman actually spent the money on herself.
He reminded the public that making a false police report is a crime under Section 182 of the Penal Code, punishable by up to six months in jail, a RM2,000 fine, or both.
