KUALA LUMPUR — Tenaga Nasional Berhad (TNB) has introduced a more detailed electricity bill format to help customers better understand their energy charges and manage usage more effectively.
The new bill, introduced under the revised tariff structure approved through the Incentive-Based Regulation (IBR) mechanism, breaks down charges into three main components: Generation, Network, and Retail.
Starting July 2025, consumers will receive a transitional bill showing charges under both the old and new tariff rates. From August onward, bills will fully reflect the new structure.
Bills can be accessed within 24 hours via the myTNB app or portal, while printed copies will arrive within seven working days. To support the transition, TNB offers a meter reading verification slip and an online Bill Calculator on the myTNB website.
