KUALA LUMPUR — Malaysia and Italy are strengthening economic ties, focusing on aerospace, green technology, and the digital economy, following a high-level roundtable in Rome co-chaired by Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim and Italian Deputy PM Antonio Tajani.

The Malaysia-Italy Economic Partnership Roundtable brought together over 100 companies from both nations across key sectors, aiming to boost strategic investments and trade.

Anwar emphasized Malaysia’s commitment to free and open trade, highlighting the country’s appeal to Italian investors due to its economic openness and efficient governance. He noted the event showcased strong bilateral cooperation potential in innovation-driven, high-impact industries crucial to Malaysia’s reform agenda.
