KUANTAN — Vandalism at a CelcomDigi tower in Dong, Raub has disrupted telecom services across eight nearby areas, including Kampung Gesing, Sungai Ruan, and Kampung Temau.
According to State Communications Committee chairman Fadzli Mohamad Kamal, the damaged tower was a key ‘collector’ for eight other transmission sites. Several components were rendered unusable and need full replacement, depending on available parts.
CelcomDigi is restoring affected services in stages, while the public is urged to report any suspicious activity near telecom infrastructure to help prevent future incidents.
