JERTIH — Nur Ain Najwa Mohd Ilias, a UPSI student injured in last month’s fatal bus crash in Gerik, has finally been granted a MARA education loan after two failed attempts due to technical issues.
The 23-year-old received the offer letter personally from MARA chairman Datuk Dr Asyraf Wajdi Dusuki during a visit to her home in Kampung Gong Kemuntong.
Nur Ain, the second of six siblings, said the loan—effective October—includes an RM800 monthly allowance, easing her family’s financial strain. Her younger twin brothers, who delayed their studies to support her, were also promised MARA aid if accepted into university.
