JOHOR BARU — Johor police arrested 147 foreign nationals and three locals, aged 21 to 57, during a major raid on 64 car wash centres across Iskandar Malaysia.

State police chief CP Datuk M. Kumar said the joint operation targeted permit violations, undocumented migrants, drug-related offences, and online gambling activities.

Suspects are being investigated under immigration, drug, and gaming laws, with penalties including hefty fines, jail terms, and whipping. Authorities also looked into illegal water use, unlicensed businesses, and price display violations, issuing compounds and seizing equipment.

Kumar said the operation successfully tackled regulatory breaches and illegal activities.
