KUANTAN — A 250kg World War II-era aerial bomb was discovered at a housing construction site in Bukit Goh yesterday.
Kuantan acting police chief Supt Mohd Adli Mat Daud said the bomb was found by a contractor around 2.50pm, prompting a police response.
The Bomb Disposal Unit safely neutralised the device using a “low order” method at 10am today, minimizing impact on nearby homes located about 200 metres away.
Police advised the public to avoid touching suspicious objects and to alert authorities immediately.
