SINGAPORE — A power fault caused a full shutdown of Singapore’s Bukit Panjang LRT this morning around 8.50am, disrupting all trains and leaving commuters facing major delays.
SMRT deployed staff to assist passengers and activated free bus services, while making regular announcements on alternative travel options.
The ageing LRT line has suffered reliability issues before. SMRT apologised for the disruption and said investigations and repairs are ongoing.
