PASIR MAS — Police busted a drug syndicate hiding RM5.04 million worth of ‘pil kuda’ in cow dung during six raids in Pasir Mas and Tumpat last Friday.

Bukit Aman Narcotics chief Datuk Mat Zani @ Mohd Salahuddin said six locals — five men and a woman, aged 25–39 — were arrested after a year-long probe. In the first raid, police found 20kg of drugs buried in cow dung at a cattle shed, along with smaller stashes in a suspect’s car and home.

More raids seized another 15.4kg of ‘pil kuda’ and arrested other members, including the wife of the main suspect. The syndicate is believed to have laundered drug money through businesses like a seafood restaurant and salon.

The drugs, targeting students and youths, were meant for markets in Kelantan, Klang Valley, and Johor Bahru. Police also seized luxury cars, jewellery, and branded goods worth RM1.1 million.

All suspects tested negative for drugs but two had prior criminal records. The case is being investigated under the Dangerous Drugs Act 1952.
