Tragic End: Hiker Loses Life on Challenging Bukit Kledang Trail

IPOH, Oct 21 — A 71-year-old man, Goon Swee Long, died while hiking the Bukit Kledang trail today after suffering from breathing difficulties.*

The Perak Fire and Rescue Department received a report about the incident around 4:24 PM, and firefighters arrived nine minutes later. 

The victim experienced fatigue and shortness of breath before collapsing near the road to the RTM station transmitter tower at an altitude of 800 meters. Despite receiving initial treatment from firefighters, a medical officer at the scene later confirmed his death. The body has been handed over to the police for further action.
